          The Great Gatsby was adapted from Scott Fitzgerald’s novel entitled the same. The setting is taken place in New York City, North America. This is a story about a man named Nick Carraway who has a friend named Jay Gatsby. Nick takes the important role here although he is not the main character. He is the narrator of this movie who tells about his friend Gatsby, who is the main character here. From the first time Nick meets Gatsby, he was mesmerized by his wealth. Gatsby often holds a huge party in his luxurious huge house. Nick always wonders how Gatsby can get a lot of money to buy all of his luxurious things.

          On the other side, Nick has a relative named Tom Buchanan. He is a rich man who has a beautiful wife named Daisy. Nick is so closed to both of them. Both of them also know about Gatsby because they live close to Gatsby’s house. As Nick’s friendship with Gatsby is getting better and closer, Gatsby reveals all of his secrets to Nick. He tells Nick everything about his past that he was a very very poor boy. He got that wealth by once he left his house to find a better life and suddenly he met someone on the sea, who was fighting with thunderstorm as he tried hard to keep his boat. However that man couldn’t do anything and Gatsby took a part of his wealth. And the important thing Gatsby told him is that, his relationship with Daisy. Daisy is actually his first love. However, because of his poorness at that time and he needed to go for a while because of his duty as a new army member, finally Daisy married with Tom Buchanan. And the reason why he keeps holding the party at his house is that, he hopes that someday Daisy would come.

          And because of Nick’s help, Gatsby and Daisy can meet again. They meet together and confess that they are still in love. They decided to elope because Gatsby is so sure that Daisy doesn’t love Tom at all. However that plan is ruined. And why is that? How will their love story end? I think you should watch this movie to find out the answer. I recommend this movie is an outstanding romance movie that you guys need to watch. It uses well-prepared and awesome editing and 3D effect. Furthermore, we can see the gorgeous acting by Leonardo D’Caprio as Jay Gatsby, Tobey Maguire as Nick Carraway, until special appearance from Indian famous actor Amitabh Bachchan. I think this is a fantasy imaginative best romance movie I’ve ever seen.

Analytical Exposition Text- A Life Destroyer

It’s undeniable that life is not always simple as the way people expected. It is because many problems may come to life in every single day. Facing too many problems often makes people feels depressed and try to find an easiest way to solve them. However, instead of solving their problems accurately with a normal way, many people now tend to choose such a worse thing such as consuming wrong-used drugs. For example, many people now consume drugs which are derived from stimulant substances such as cocaine, crystal meth and nicotine. Basically, stimulant drugs are not dangerous from their derivation. But, many people consume them under their well-knowledge without paying attention about its effects, drug doses, and doctors’ suggestion. As a result, stimulant abuse can be the one of the destroyer for everybody’s life.

`        Firstly, stimulant can make people become addicted until become worse. It is because stimulant is such a substance which can make people stay awake for a long time without causing tiredness toward people who use it. It directly works on people’s brain so that people who consume this kind of drugs feel that they can do all of their work easily. Mainly, Stimulant is usually consumed by athletes to keep their spirit on. But nowadays, many teenagers also use this kind of drugs in order to make their brain easier to concentrate with their study. Furthermore, the worst thing is some of them also use stimulant only because of their curiosity toward it, without a clear reason but only to just have fun with their friends. As a result is, they try it once then become addicted to use it over and over again. When they become addicted on it, they will don’t care about anything except thinking of the way how to get it. They will spend much money to buy this drug, then, if there is no more money, they will do many bad things like stealing their parents or people’s money, selling anything they have, and other worse things.

           Secondly, instead of its addiction, stimulant also causes some symptom diseases like heart disease and stroke. It is because of the broken artery which comes from blood doesn’t do its main task properly to shed oxygen in whole of human body. Moreover, consuming too much stimulant will also cause insomnia, lost appetite, high blood pressure, headache, and even a death of someone. Those diseases are mainly caused by the kind of strong stimulant. Strong stimulant may include amphetamine, ecstasy, and duromine. While low stimulant like caffeine in coffee, nicotine in tobacco, and also ephedrine that is usually used for asthma medicine, they do not cause certain serious diseases syndromes, but of course if it is used in a right dose.

           In summary, the abuse of stimulant will cause addiction and some serious symptom diseases like heart disease and stroke. Finally it is concluded that the abuse of stimulant will do harm for our body.

Discussion Text- The Advantages and Disadvantages of Plastic Surgery

Plastic Surgery becomes more and more booming nowadays. From ordinary people until famous artists are interested in having plastic surgery to maximize their appearance. They are willing to have such a plastic surgery in their body part, no matter how expensive and how pain plastic surgery is. However, not all of people agree about this thing. This is a controversial thing which becomes so debatable problem all over the world.

           For those who agree with the allowance of plastic surgery argue that plastic surgery will make people to get such kind of typical body they want. It is because plastic surgery offers the change of appearance to be more attractive and proportional. Moreover, According to the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, modern surgeries are actually very safe and new technologies make them safer every day. They recently released a report stating that modern skin grafting techniques are safe and effective for certain plastic surgery augmentations. Another thing which makes people are interested in plastic surgery is that, modern society now tend to judge people on the way they look first instead of the skill they have, so having plastic surgery will help them to cope with their society and also increase self confidence so that people will have a better relationship with society. Furthermore, studies have shown that people will attribute personal qualities to an individual based on their attractiveness.

           Besides the advantages of plastic surgery above, there are also some points which become the disadvantages of plastic surgery. For those who disagree with plastic surgery argue that plastic surgery can be psychologically damaging. It is because the result of plastic surgery is not always sophisticated as the patient want. There are lots of problem like malpractice in case of plastic surgery, like what happened to the king of pop, Michael Jackson, for example. Although modern technology is used in plastic surgery, but human error cannot be avoided in this thing, because surgeons are not always perfect, they also can make mistakes too.

           According to those statements, I can deduce that plastic surgery will only create people’s mindset that beauty or handsomeness is the things that should be had by all people. To me, this is really an awful thing because someone must be proud of the things they have got in the first place. Changing what has been created by God only shows that someone does not appreciate what God has given to him. So, I personally think that plastic surgery should be banned; it will only bring bad than good.

Hortatory Exposition-Preservative Nuggets may Shorten Your Life Time

We all know that many instant foods are delicious and fast in cooking process. But do we all know that many instant foods contain some preservative substances that may endanger our body? Anyway, nowadays people tend not to pay attention about this problem even though it’s clear that many instant foods will cause some serious diseases in a period of time. Most of them are used to eat instant foods, such as nuggets for example. Nugget is a small piece of chicken or fish that has been covered in breadcrumbs and fried. Usually it is disposable in a packed form so that the buyer will easy to cook it. But sometimes some crafty producers use preservative substances to pickle the nuggets or the meal inside it with some preservatives that are not allowed to use. It is very dangerous which makes me agree to say that eating preservative nuggets will do harm for our health.

Why do I say that eating preservative nuggets will do harm for our health? The reason is : some nuggets contain preservative that is called as an addictive substance. The addictive substance is a chemical substance that is mixed in instant foods in order to increase the quality of food products, to sharpen the taste, and to keep the foods fresh for a long time. Then, the addictive substance brings carcinogens, which is the cause of cancer. How dangerous carcinogens to our body is something that many people don’t need to ask about because cancer is really deadening. Not also brings carcinogens, but the addictive substance also brings some other serious diseases if we consume it frequently. It will disturb our kidney, causes diabetes, decreases students’ achievement, disturbs the children’s growth, even the worst thing is it may cause a death of someone.

In short, eating preservative nuggets is not good for our health. It will not give any benefit to our body. But on the contrary, it will cause many serious diseases , even the death of someone if they can’t stop their habit in eating the preservative foods like nugget. 

News Item-EXO's Kris seeking to nullify contract with SM Entertainment

                                                                                  

Shocking news comes from Korean Entertainment. Korean famous boy band, EXO will lose one of their members, Kris (Wu Yi Fan), as the main rapper of EXO M. EXO’s Kris has been reported to nullify his contract with SM Entertainment.

News spread out in Korea from Chinese media reported that Kris is asking for his contract to be tormented and filed a lawsuit at the Seoul Central Court. The specific detail of stopping the contract with SM Entertainment has not been given yet, but the Chinese media reports that the reason is nearly same to the case of Hangeng and Super Junior in the previous situation, that is the artists of SM Entertainment are treated just like an object than as an artist. The reports also said that SM one-sidedly decided on their schedules without really considering about the artists’ health. Like what happens in Kris that he has a health problem but SM keep restricting him to work. Because of this reason, they believe that SM is restricting Kris from basic human right to freedom and his choices career wise, the contract should be nullified.

A few Korean media outlets are said to have contacted the court regarding this but a rep from the court is said to have said that there is no record of a suit being filed against SM Entertainment. In response, the Chinese media outlet has said that the suit has not yet been filed, but that Kris will be heading over to file.

It is such a heartbreaking news to the EXO’s fans around the world, not only in Asia. The shocking thing happens when EXO is really in top of their career after their new mini album, with their popular single “Overdose” has been successfully released.
